This is a problem in every country.

Look around you. No country is perfect. Singapore included.
What matters is our resolve to change things and not be mindless sheep. Partake in your local community, make a difference, help your fellow Singaporean.

I have many gripes about Singapore as well, and much of what my fellow Singaporeans do upset and dismay me. But this is a result of a change which happened so quickly, the landscape changed from kampung to skyscraper, but the 3rd world mentality lingered.
This is our greatest challenge yet, but change needs time.

Its easy to break down kampungs and build glittering malls. But its not easy to change decades old of old generation mindsets and practices. But with every generation, we'll work hard to change it.
If not, well, then it will be as time is to every civilisation and nation who fail to evolve. We'll become extinct. Simple as that.

To me personally, Singaporeans are Pragmatic. Extremely Extremely Pragmatic.

This is the how I would characterise singaporeans in general.

So much so that Ideals is not worth pursuing except Money, selfpreservation and more money.

The talented do not provide alternative voice for the people. they choose to avoid doing so. Why ? Pragmatic Extremism.

The people with influence, wealth and social status all avoid voicing alternative views.

Why ? You tell me why.

compare with TW, Thailand and even MY, you will know how unique singaporeans are.

Thus, many dont care anymore. constantly, groups of talented people have voluntarily given up their citizenship.

The mission is impossible. CST is heading towards, you know lah... the freedom fighter is no more...the CSJ kenna left right center.....groossrot ladders everywhere.....allegience.....businessmen know what not to say for wealth preservatio......MSM is so 'unbiased'......IBA........the meek and slow moving....LTTK..WWP....Siva Lim.......kangaroos jumping around....based on....juicetice .....equaliti.....HIKES even .....1 billion ....profitability....

nothing left to expect.
